Audrey Lee
ELA Teacher 
Audrey is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics at National Taipei University in Taiwan, where her parents are from. Two years ago, she moved to New York to earn a master’s degree from Teachers College in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Audrey loves language learning (she speaks Portuguese, Mandarin, and English fluently) and is looking forward to perfecting her Spanish while working at the American Dream School, which is just the right fit for her multicultural self. In addition to English teaching, Audrey also loves singing, reading fiction novels, and eating ethnic cuisine. 


Rebecca Allgire,
 ESL Teacher Rebecca Allgire is excited to be a founding ESL teacher at The American Dream School. She is originally from St. Louis and studied Spanish and sociology at the University of Missouri.  After graduating from college, Rebecca spent two years serving with the Peace Corps in rural Guatemala.  She then moved to New York to earn a master’s degree from Teachers College in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.   Rebecca has been teaching middle school ESL in the Bronx for two years and is looking forward to a great year with American Dream.  



Jose Alvarez, 7th grade Teacher

Señor Alvarez is originally from Bronx, New York. He began his teaching career in East Harlem as a corp member for CITY YEAR. He received a B.A. in History with a concentration in 20th century and a B.A in Latin American Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2013. He also received an M.A. in Secondary Math from Relay Graduate School of Education. Señor Alvarez enjoys playing soccer and squash and spending time with his family.



Stephanie Sanchez, 7th PBL Teacher's Aide, Curiosity Machine Coach

Stephanie was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. This is her first year teaching, and she loves it. Stephanie graduated from Villanova University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelors in Comprehensive Science and a minor in Psychology. Her love for children and education stems from her years as a high school student where she facilitated STEM-related projects as a tutor for children in Hunts Point as part of a program called, Iridescent. While in college she had the chance to work as a tutor for English Language Learners in Norristown, PA and she enjoyed having a cultural connection to the students she's helped. ADS is a wonderful and welcoming community, and one Stephanie is proud to be a part of. Stephanie enjoys watching movies with friends and family, taking care of her German Shepard Puppy, and listening to the Hamilton Soundtrack.

Brian Collado, Spanish Teacher 

Brian joined the ADS team in 2016 as a Spanish Teacher. He previously taught at the Community Health Academy of the Heights for 1 year. He was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States at early age. Brian obtained a Bachelor degree in Spanish secondary education, from The City College of New York. He is currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Special Education program, in The City College of New York. Brian is passionate about empowering students to develop their full potential and creating rigorous curriculum to keep students motivated. Brian is honored to be able to be part of the ADS family. 


ll Ayal Adamit, 7PBL Teacher

Ayal grew up in Upstate New York. He received a B.S. in Biochemistry from Binghamton University in 2014. He then moved to NYC and received his M.A. in Adolescent Chemistry Education at Hunter College in 2017. Ayal enjoys playing music and spending time with family.


Sabrina Caminero, Music Teacher Sabrina is excited to be the new music teacher at ADS. She is passionate about music education and excited to share her love of music with her students. Sabrina has previously taught in Anne Arudal County Public Schools and Baltimore City. Sabrina obtained her Bachelors of Music in Music Education and Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from Peabody Conservatory of Music at Johns Hopkins University in 2015.



Israel Martinez, Spanish Teacher.

Israel Martinez was born and raised in Mexico. He came to this country at the age of 15. He attended Westchester Community College where he received an associates degree in Liberal Arts. Israel graduated from CUNY Lehman college this past June. He received his B.A. in Spanish, minor in Middle and High School Education and B.S. in Recreation Education with an emphasis on Exercise and Sports. He is proud to be part of the wonderful ADS family. He loves to help students so they can succeed in Spanish. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and running.
