College Advising Course

Starting their junior year, our students participate in a grade-specific college counseling course aimed to strengthen their knowledge on college and career options, inform them about the complicated financial aid process, and prepare them to apply to college in the fall of their senior year.

College Trips and Representative Visits

Students are invited to visit numerous CUNY, SUNY and private colleges throughout their high school careers beginning in the 9th grade. The vast majority of students will have visited at least five colleges by the time they enter their senior year. We also invite college representatives to speak to students during the academic day. These information sessions are open to students across all grade levels.

Parent Workshops

Parents are invited to attend multiple workshops throughout their childs’ junior and senior year focused on the college application process, financial aid and transitioning between high school and college.

1:1 College Application Support

Counselors meet with students one-on-one throughout their senior year to work on applications for CUNY, SUNY, and private colleges, complete financial aid requirements and submit scholarship applications.
